 "LOOKING AT YOU LOOKING AT ME" Exhibition Opening Review

 Su Yuming & Johanna Sovik 

 The duo exhibition of Chinese artist Su Yuming and Norwegian artist Johanna Solvik recently opened at the Viking Gallery, dazzling the audience. This exhibition brings together a total of 28 exceptional works from both artists, showcasing their unique artistic styles that have achieved a marvelous fusion in the exhibition. It offers the viewers a dual feast for the eyes and the soul, leaving them captivated by the artistic expressions on display. 

 The artworks presented in this exhibition fully showcase Su Yuming's exceptional talent and extraordinary creativity. His artistic journey has witnessed significant leaps, whether it's from paper to canvas or from printmaking to painting, all of which demonstrate his unique artistic style and profound artistic foundation. On the other hand, Johanna Sovik's works seamlessly integrate painting, collage, and digital techniques. She carefully constructs emotionally rich images that resemble a captivating symphony of emotions, enchanting the audience and leaving a lasting impression.

"LOOKING AT YOU LOOKING AT ME" is the first collaborative project between these two talented young artists. At first, each ventured into printmaking with distinct mediums. Over time, their artistic journey led them to ingeniously extend these prints into a vast array of artistic expressions, encompassing both physical manifestations and conceptual underpinnings. The resulting forms encompass painting, collage, intricate scratchings, and painted prints, showcasing their exceptional talent and innovation.
